Does Google Worry About Your Privacy?

I just signed up for Google AdSense and they wanted my Social Security Number. So I Googled Google and came up with the following:

"Google owns about a 50% market share and is the number one search engine.

Google’s vision is to offer any kind of information available to anyone, worldwide. The only problem is… Google has control over this information. Google can and already is censoring websites. A example for that is China and Korea.

Google is offering it’s services in more than 100 languages. The number of these services is about 80 and is growing. These services are free and require to submit private information to Google so you can use them.

Google is collecting information all the time. It’s service Gmail offers about 3Gb of free space for emails, meaning you won’t be deleting these for a long time. So Google can scan them all and collect large amount of data on YOU. It also scans emails for advertisement to display relevant ads in your Gmail account.

When you visit Google the first time, it sets up a cookie on your computer, that will be valid until the year 2038 (or even more). Cookies also help Google collect data on you.

Using this data Google could easily make profiles for it’s users. Also, there are some rumors, that CIA and Google work together on some projects since Google has A LOT bigger database of information on each user than all of these departments together.

Google is also working with the famous molecular scientist Dr. Craig Venter who worked on decoding the human genome. Google can offer computing power and information that is needed for this kind of work/research. There is also a rumor that Google will start a service (free as well), that you will be able to check your own hereditary or disease. This way Google would also get a lot information of your genes . . . "
